Your initial appointment will consist of a consultation. This is a time for Dr. Tidwell to complete a clinical examination and review pertinent x-rays and lab tests if needed. Time is taken to understand your needs, explain the proposed treatment and answer your questions. We want you to be well informed about your diagnosis and treatment options. Occasionally, surgery can be done on the same day as the consultation. However, a complex medical history, complex treatment plan, or the need for intravenous (IV) anesthesia will require a second appointment to provide treatment on another day.
IMPORTANT: All patients under the age of 18, must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the consultation visit.
Please alert the office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to surgery. (i.e. diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc.) or if you are on any medication (i.e. heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc.)
Our office serves as an extension of your family dentist’s office to provide specialized oral surgery care. We have made a commitment to work with your doctor to provide you with the highest quality of care. Because we recognize the importance of good communication between doctors, we make every effort to ensure that your family dentist is informed about all aspects of your treatment.
